when we were running the web site - we were dead keen to get info etc and get businesses involved - but tbh it was really hard work and we couldn't get many interested. Paul often used to email the new businesses and they often didn't even reply.

Mike might get a better response.

I thought any business would welcome free advert. A lot still do not seem to realise the existence of the internet :)

Maybe if businesses contact Mike he would add them.

I think that a lot of Businesses are really busy during the day and it's just another thing to worry about. I will draw the attention of the Chamber of Trade to this suggestion.

Obviously haven't taken a look at my Ampthill & District Directory Site of late at http://www.ampthill.org.uk, has recently been revamped. I'm continuing to revamp it & may also take on the idea of a feature business each week!!

Mark's site is certainly very comprehensive. Browsing through it I noticed that there is a "tube bending" company down on the industrial estate. I wonder if they have a Bending-Unit 22? Discovering one of those in Ampthill would be a dream come true.

I appreciate the site is not up to date. Over the next few days I'll be adding some of the new shops. However if yo notice something that is wrong let me know & I'll amend the entry.

Paul will change the ad on the front of the site, he has just changed it as someone has already contacted him - just until he has spent some time getting back into running the site. He is doing 2 week slots.

If any business has ideas etc and want a mention best to email him info@aroundampthill.org
